This collection records and depicts, through their testimonies, the history of the fight for
the recognition of Trans individuals’ rights in Quebec and Canada. We will distribute it to
LGBTQIA2S+ organizations and many university libraries, which will promote elderly
sexual and gender diversity in LGBTQIA2S+ communities and the general public.
The project’s first objective is to break the cycle of isolation amongst trans elders, a vulnerable minority in our population, by allowing them to involve themselves in their
community. They can have the opportunity to meet more trans folks in their age range and help them build a broader support system.
